Hi, I am Jen and I have recently learnt to crochet and I am now addicted to it. I've been to a few knitting clubs in London but none of them have been in the local area. The aim of this group is to get knitting/crochet/sewing fans in the area to meet and share their crafts over a beer, coffee, pizza.  We can share skills, patterns and stories.

We've had a few meetings in the past but it has not gathered momentum as yet. I hope we will be able to meet once a month but date/time is TBC at the moment.

My new book is out today. Visit my website www.theknitknacks.co.uk and buy anything from my range to be entered into a free prize draw. I am away the last weekend in July but another date would be good or I would be happy to run a knitting club at my house.

Hi all. I can now no longer make the crochet club this Wednesday. I can change it to Tuesday 17th unless several people are planning on going this Wednesday and it can go on without me? If you are happy for it to go ahead without me this week please let me know today. If I don't hear from anyone I'll change the date tomorrow. Sorry about this.

Hello all,

Hope you can join us at this event on Sunday 27th

http://ttkensaltokilburn.ning.com/events/transition-willesden-and-s...

You'll need to book a place.  Maybe see you there!

I've been really inspired by attending your last session at the Tricycle and finished my scarf.  I've put it in a Christmas fayre at my sister's Transition creative crafts group.  They're setting up a community enterprise!

Hello, nice to meet you, hope to meet some of you in person soon!

I'm a professional craftswoman, you can see my blog here:Jane's Textiles

I make Shetland Lace, mainly, and sell at craft market; the next one will be this coming Sunday, 13 Nov, at The Horatia Pub, Holloway Road. Perhaps some of you will be able to come along!

Sorry, yes the meeting is still on! I've not had a chance to get an event set up for it. See you later.

Is the group on tonight? I've got some squares - about 5 - to add to the mix and will keep knitting.

Hi all,

I can't make the meeting tomorrow but please feel free to gather without me and try out the squares etc. I will be there next week to prepare before the harvest festival. In the meantime I will try and get hold of the TTKK stash of wool in preparation.  Apologies and I hope it goes well without me.

Thanks to Sanchia, Diktynna and Tori for coming tonight. The Tricycle foyer turned out to be a really good venue and they didn't seem to mind us sitting there. It was great to swap ideas and tips.

We've decided to make a picnic blanket the theme of our stall at the upcoming harvest festival. Nice and small for people to make in a short time. We'll try and make some sample squares to bring to the next meeting to see if it will work. The squares need to be 10cm x 10cm. We're going to make some using a variety of wool types and needle sizes to see what works best but for now we think double knit wool and 4mm needles will do the trick.
Once we've come up with the ideal size etc we'll need to start making quite a few squares to start the blanket. That way visitors will get an idea what it is supposed to look like. So watch this space as we'll be calling for square makers soon!
All welcome to come along to the next meeting same time, same place next week.
