Following a great deal of interest at Brent Friends of the Earth's Green Fair in Willesden Green, this new group formed for eco-minded residents in the Willesden area. Some fantastic people from all over Willesden, Cricklewood, Dollis Hill and beyond have already signed up, and we kicked off with 32 people at our first meeting in June 2011. Thanks to Transition K2K for start-up support and hosting our group until we set up our very own site.

Hello all, and welcome to new members. We've now got over 60 people on a wider mailing list, so if you're not already on that, get in touch.
Last week's meeting was another success. I enjoyed a sea purslane omlette the next day - just one of the great tastes from our food swap.
Just doing a round up before next week's core group and our first meeting about the project to green Sainsbury's in Willesden.
What's great about this group is people are bringing their friends and next door neighbours along. Everyone's really enthusiastic. Hope we can keep it going!
Next main meeting will be September - look out for more details soon.
Comment by jean-marc pierson on July 21, 2011 at 9:53 ... I am a story writer and teller and a gardener (lowly qualified but the earth is not that high)
Comment by Sandra De Andrade on July 16, 2011 at 9:57 Thanks. Hope we can keep this up by making our next meeting on July 14th even better. See http://ttkensaltokilburn.ning.com/events/transition-willesden-scree...
Besides the film we're having a local food swap, so hope everyone can bring along something to that, besides plenty of ideas for a discussion. We'll be following up our ideas from last time, with food and drink to keep us going. See you there!
There are some great local residents' associations in the area.
Mapesbury Residents Association (whose gardening group are keen fruit harvesters) have their open gardens this Sunday, see
maybe see you there!
Comment by Chris Wells on June 9, 2011 at 19:40 A quick note to anyone in TT Willesden looking for local food fanatics, you could do worse than start approaching these guys: hilarious writers and big fans of local food in Cricklewood!
