“Making Art for Public Spaces”

Molly Fletcher and Tom Wilkinson work individually as
artists, and together as Arts Republic making art for public
spaces eg museums, theatres, schools, parks and
festivals. Arts Republic make art that moves, sculpture
powered by wind and solar, and automata. They often
incorporate recycled materials in their work.

Amy Moffat, Tom Helyar-Cardwell and Oscar Murrillo,
recipients of this year’s Emerging Artist Residencies, will
be running a 2 hour creative and experimental drawing
workshop. The emphasis of the session will be on
exploring conceptual approaches to drawing and the
relationship between objective observation and
imaginative interpretation.
