Event Description

During October in honour of  Black History Month we are having a small film festival reflecting a small number of the films from the Black community in Britain and internationally.

There will be food on a budget at 6pm influenced by the film

All films start at 7pm.

7 Oct   Pressure (15) 1976 

A British-born younger son of an immigrant family from Trinidad finds himself adrift between two cultures.

14 Oct  For Coloured Girls (15) 2010 

Each of the women portray one of the characters represented in the collection of twenty poems, revealing different issues that impact women in general and women of color in particular.

21 Oct Moolaade ( with subtitles) 2014 

When a woman shelters a group of girls from suffering female genital mutilation, she starts a conflict that tears her village apart.
