 ger Picture: Festival of Interdependence is a free interactive, living
  exhibition staged in the dramatic post-industrial setting of the Barg
 ehouse on London’s South Bank, brought to you by nef (the new econom
 ics foundation) and a host of partner organisations.\n\nThe main exhib
 ition will take place on Saturday, 24 October when the whole venue wil
 l be opened for one day only.\n\nTime: 10.30 – 19.30\nLocation: Barg
 ehouse, South Bank.\nView a list of speakers\n\nBig conversations: Wit
 h over twenty-five speakers from a range of backgrounds, you can be su
 re to learn something new. But unlike a conference, The Bigger Picture
  will give you a chance to join the conversation. Topics will include 
 the future of food and farming, the hidden costs of economic growth, c
 ivil liberties and climate change, local economics and how inequality 
 leaves us all worse off.\n\nSkill-sharing: Forsake your dependence on 
 energy-hungry consumer gadgets and start doing things for yourself in 
 our re-skilling workshops. Learn to bake real bread, build a thermal s
 olar panel, make incredible crafts and perform other handy feats. When
  the oil shortages come, you’ll be grateful you came along.\n\nArt g
 alleries: The works of leading contemporary artists will be on display
  during the festival, inspired by the issues of the day. You can even 
 add your own masterpiece to the Bigger Picture gallery.\n\nTales of ho
 w it turned out right: If we’re going to meet the social, economic a
 nd ecological challenges of our time, we need to start telling new sto
 ries about where our world is heading. Join our resident bards and rec
 ite your own transition tale in our storytelling sessions.\n\nFilm scr
 eenings: We’ll be showing the best documentaries on environmental, e
 conomic and social issues. Watch trailers and clips.………..\n\nDoc
 tor’s surgeries: Have you ever wanted to talk climate change with a 
 real atmospheric physicist? Or discuss the building blocks of a happy 
 life with an expert on well-being? Or perhaps you just want to grill a

  to Well-being: Using nef research on easy actions to make us happier,
