DESCRIPTION:This event is full - please book on the repeat session on 
 Feb 20th.\n\nPruning stimulates new growth, improves the quality of fr
 uit, helps trees live longer and makes it much easier to pick the frui
 t. This means Kensal to Kilburn Fruit Pickers won’t be required as o
 ften, which, oddly, is a good thing.\n\nCome along and discover how to
  prune small to medium trees with secateurs, loppers, a pruning saw an
 d maybe a stepladder. We can lend tools to use in your own garden and 
 provide a fellow-volunteer to help you carry out your pruning.\n\nThe 
 session will be a mix of theory and practical. Rain and temperature pe
 rmitting, we hope to go outside and jointly carry out a real live prun
 ing on the day. If you know a tree to prune in walking distance of the
  library please let me know!\n\nThe idea is also that the group offers
  a voluntary pruning service to the people who let us pick their fruit
  last year and possibly to others in the area.\n\nCarol French of Glor
