Quite a lot of fruit growing in private gardens is left to rot (something I've never understood). Some places have projects to pick apples, plums etc and then distribute them (see page 14 on this site: http://www.communityindex.co.uk/Issues/sept2008.pdf

Could we do something like that, maybe linking up with Age Concern Brent, Elders Voice etc?
