Option 1 shows two hands forming a heart (which hints at the Head, Hands and Heart which are all part of the Transition philosophy). Eagle-eyed viewers might also spot that the two hands resemble two letter K's back-to-back which stands for Kensal to Kilburn as well...

Just a thought - perhaps foliage could be growing up the outside of the lettering, and perhaps the hands as well, like a plant up a wall.

I like this the best, I agree it's a really great & powerful logo. But might there be a way to get a leaf or something symbolising green/nature in there as well while we are at it? (you can probably tell I'm no graphic designer, but in terms of heraldry/symbolism we need to recognise that we are about both people *and* nature/the planet...)

Outstanding logo.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your fantastic comments. It looks as if this is the most popular logo at the moment. What do you all think about maybe having lots of different versions of the logo with different people's hands making the sign but with photos not a drawing like this? Old and young, different skin colours and genders. We could even mix things up a bit. Then we could use different versions each time we show the logo...

My favourite too - most original, feels inclusive and optimistic - sunrise/new dawn, as well as referencing the area.

I think that this could be an amazing logo - its really unique and says so many things related to Transition at the same time. I would like to see it worked on to make it look a bit less computer generated and a bit more natural. I also like the way the words are styled best in this option.

I like this a lot but think it could be softened up, more hand-made if pos - Jane x

This one strikes me as quite unique & has a warm, optimistic feel about it. I also think it looks like the sun shining through the middle, & solar energy is one of the most potent potential alternative to petrochemical based energy.
