Our third pick is this Friday. There are 4 very tall pear trees in a beautiful large wooded double-garden. The owners are very community minded.

I’m hoping that a climber will help us with this harvest (if you know one PLEASE ask them). If not, there is a very tall ladder we can use. Anyone with a head for heights is very welcome and we also need up to 5 people on the ground to hold a tarpaulin to catch the fruit and the ladder. As with all our early picks, we’ll be learning and experimenting as we go along.

As ever, owners and pickers get first choice of fruit so bring a bag with you. Let me know if you want to come or would like to come to future fruit picks!
