Event Description

TIME to BREATHE - workshop with Verena Breckner

27 October 2012, 10.30-5pm

This Saturday workshop offers you the space and possibility to discover and reconnect with your inner rhythm.

We live in a fast paced and stressful world and tend to go through the cycle of our breathing without love or softness, patience or attentiveness. We usually want too much and so interfere with life, we try to force things, to hold onto our ideas and thus limit our experiences, and by doing so we distort the circle of breathing; we lose our rhythm and our centre, in breathing as well as in life.

At the same time each new breath can bring us closer to restoring a sense of balance and regaining what has been lost. By breathing with awareness we learn to wait, to listen, to allow and to be more at peace. Turning our attention and care towards our breath, bringing consciousness into our breathing, can change it into a nurturing and blissful experience.

No previous experience of this kind of breath work is required, only a willingness to engage and to feel.

Cost: £60, concessions available.  Booking essential.

Highly recommended.

Verena Breckner was apprenticed to Mona Wirtz for several years. In 1995 she moved to Munich to deepen her understanding at the Atemhaus, one of Europe's most spiritually-inclined Breath Therapy schools, whose founder, Herta Richter, remains a profound influence on Verena's work.
