A lovely 1st meeting of the transition town sewing/crochet/knitting club (will need to find a catchier name!). Only 2 of us were there to start it off but we had a good time chatting and crafting. Thanks again for coming Diktynna - it was good to meet you and well done for picking up crochet so quickly! The Betsy smith was an ok venue but got a bit dark as the evening went on. I suggest we hold the next one in the foyer of the tricycle cinema in Kilburn...very good lighting and a cafe for food and drinks. I'll set up a new date for early September soon and maybe a group too.

Hi, I would love to start crocheting or knitting. I may not make it tomorrow (I have to find some materials too) but would be very interested in the meet-ups starting in early september.

Hi. I've had 2 maybes to this so far. I will still be at the Betsy smith from 6.45 but I will probably only stay until 8 if I'm on my own. If you know you are going to come later than 8 send me a message on ning so I know to stick around and wait for you. I will organise more of these when I get home from my holiday in early September.

This sounds great! I have been looking for such a group - I can knit a bit but would love to crochet as well. Will try to come along.
