Bee-keeping is surprisingly easy, immensely fulfilling and has a sweet reward.
Join Mark and his growing group at MoHoLo for the second gathering of potential urban beekeepers, ready and willing to host a hive in their own garden or to help care for one in someone's else's.
Join us whether you are committed or curious and whether you are an expert or an enthusiastic beginner. If you consider yourself an expert, do get in touch in advance if there's any knowledge you'd like to share or teach.
The aim of this project is to help make the local and Jewish communities self-sufficient in honey within 5 years, as well as connecting with the wider urban beekeeping community in London.
We need 200 hives to do this. You don’t need much space to do it – you can even put hives on a roof. Could you or someone you know be interested? Do you know of an organisation that might be willing to host a hive? As well as being fun, this project has a serious purpose: join us in working towards a more sustainable community and to help promote biodiversity. More information on what we’re doing will be posted here, and if you want to get involved then please contact us at marknew55(at)yahoo.com
