Please come and join us this Saturday 22nd May from 10am till 3pm to build a raised bed and plant it out at Weston House on Winchester Avenue NW6 7TS (200 metres from Willesden Lane, on the side of Winchester Ave towards the railway line).
We have two plots of land to build two raised beds for the residents to grow some of their own food. Transition Kensal to Kilburn is working with Five Ways Residents Association and with support from Brent Housing Partnership
One of the beds will be on Winchester Avenue (at the Willesden lane end), it’s in a great spot which passers by will see and hopefully be encouraged to have a go.
We’ve got the land, we’ve got the timber and soil, we’ve got the seedlings, and we’ve got some tools! Now all we need is some volunteers to come and help us make this happen.
No experience necessary but any skills, tools and or spare seedlings are very welcome in our first food growing community venture. Bring a spade if you have one.
If you would like to join us please contact Careen 07973 209 578 or email me careen@grangerhertzog.com or simply turn up (It would be useful to know approx how many are coming)
RSVP for Winchester Avenue food growing to add comments!
