I received a notification for this event that I thought might interest some of our members.

It's on 26th - 28th April, organised by Cob in the Community.

Follow the link below to the Eventbrite website for more information and to book:

(text below is from the invite, and not my own)

We need your help making London's first off grid permaculture barge, 'The Gaia Gallery'  this April.

In exchange you will:

  • learn how to make cob
  • learn how to source clay
  • meet some fantastic friendly folk
  • learn how to build with cob
  • make a heated bench
  • make a cob oven
  • make a rocket stove
  • use cob to create a micro climate to increase your growing yield
  • talk about low impact building, permaculture, transition towns and low carbon
  • have fun!
  • be part of the Gaia Gallery and get to do more cool stuff along London's waterways
What to bring
  • Stuff you dont mind getting muddy but will keep you at the right temperature for working outdoors
  • Food to share
  • Sense of humour
