How's about coming to a MoHoLo event that's all about food? Sound good? Delicious! Everyone welcome!
Sukkot is the Jewish Harvest Festival and at this time we build a traditional booth in our garden and decorate it with fruit and any crafty arty things we can think of...it's a chance to remind ourselves that even the solid structures we build aren't as permanent as the fact of change. This ancient festival traditionally celebrated the harvest at the end of the Summer and is held on the full moon following our New Year.
So come join us as we build our very own sukkah – a temporary booth - maybe to sleep in, definitely to sit in but, mostly, to wave bits of plants and fruit about to celebrate the Earth's rich bounty.
We will provide the raw materials to build the sukkah and you will provide the man / woman-power to build it under the expert direction of new MoHoLo resident, Dr Clive.
We will first spend our time constructing this magnificent structure together and then afterwards decorate it in some fantastic, creative way.
RSVP for Lulavs and Etrogs and Bears...Oh My! to add comments!
