Event Description
Since it started out in 2011 as a local initiative in Western Australia, the Plastic Free July challenge has grown into a global movement.
Last year, 250 MILLION people signed up to the challenge and 825 MILLION of kilos of plastic waste have been avoided as a result, according to the charity’s latest annual report.
Of course, you can decide to reduce your single use plastic waste at any time during the year. However, some of us need to know that we are doing it alongside hundreds of thousands of other people across the globe to stay motivated.
I will take the challenge for the 2nd year running.
To encourage more people to reduce their plastic waste, I will do a Facebook live session every day from Monday till Friday at 12.30pm on Zero Waste London starting from today (Tuesday 30th June).
During the live sessions, I will share my experience and knowledge about alternatives to single use plastic.
Come and join me on Zero Waste London and let's cut single use plastic out of our lives together.
