Queens Park Allotment

We have a community allotment in Queens Park (behind the Cafe in the park).  Two new raised beds were built at the end of 2010, and we have a herb spiral and lots of other things growing.  Shared space to learn and grow.  Tools and gloves provided.  Capital Growth space 1084. Apple cake recipe

This is the recipe of an apple cake I baked on Thursday for Kensal to Kilburn TT public meeting. Ingredients:-200 gr to 320 gr of peeled and deseeded apples cut in small pieces (depending on how moist you want your cake to be; I put a bit more than 300 gr of apples on Thursday but if you want to take the cake to a picnic maybe it's better to use 200 gr of apples)-180 gr of plain white flour-2 table spoons of baking powder-3 eggs-170 gr of caster sugar-150 gr of butter-half a spoon of cinnamon-a…See More

Local Fruit Harvesters

We pick fruit from local back gardens - apples, pears, plums etc and give it away to schools and community groups, make juice, jam or just eat it. All to save fruit from rotting on the ground.
