Zero waste picinic at Queen's park

July 14, 2019 from 12pm to 3:30pm
As part of #PlasticFreeJuly I'm organising a zero waste picnic. No single use plastic cutlery, no paper plates, no crisps bags. Come, meet fellow plastic waste warriors in your neighbourhood and swap clothes (clean clothes in good condition that you would happily give to a friend).Reducing single plastic waste is absolutely necessary to reduce oil extraction, CO2 emissions and pollution. Everyone welcome no matter where you are at on your journey to plastic freedom. See More

Sometimes knowing that you can cook something without too much hassle is not enough for you to try it, even when you are quite curious to try new plant-based food. I’ve been meaning for quite a few weeks now to cook with nettles, for example. But, without the intervention of Kensal to Kiburn harvesters, I would still look at the urtica diodica specimen in my garden with suspicion.

As I had signed up to the workshop organized by Michael Stuart from Transition Kensal to Kilburn,…
