Hi All,

Thinking about starting a Veg Box Scheme, similar to the fantastic one run by Growing Communities

http://www.growingcommunities.org/

With the added twist being that would ask people to have veg growing in their gardens, have small (or large) beds dedicated to the project, managed by the project.

Perhaps install small glasshouses with automated sprinkler systems to reduce workload and having to go into peoples homes.

Thinking distributed farm around Kensal Rise, peoples gardens as well as parts of public parks / railway sidings, etc.

Anyone have any ideas / thoughts?  Viable? Bonkers??

Miko.

Hi Miko,

i set up and ran a small veg box scheme in South East London. I'm happy to share "lessons learnt"! (and there were a few!!)

I will try and come along to the queens park allotment next wednesday 11th, if you're around we can have a coffee and chat after?
