London Permaculture Festival 2010 anyone?

Plans are afoot for a London Permaculture Festival some time this summer It’s high time we strengthened and celebrated London’s vibrant yet scattered Permaculture & Transition community. Our aim is to connect people and groups, share news, information & skills, and have a good time while we’re doing it. We’re looking for as many people as possible who are directly or indirectly involved in Permaculture to help form a strong and committed steering group that’ll be the driving force behind this new event, and get this long overdue idea off the ground. This task is a chance to see Permaculture design in action. We aim to create an event that draws from the talents of the people that choose to be a part of it, and collaborate together to plan and build a lively and positive experience based on Permaculture Principles and Ethics. Everyone is welcome to join the steering group, from those of you who are looking for an exciting project to get stuck into this summer, to those who are only able to offer advice, support or encouragement. However, anyone with experience or interest in event management, fund raising, project/web/graphic designing or experience in group facilitation will be given extra brownie points. We’ll brainstorm ideas and find solutions, be willing to inspire and be inspired, and above all to walk the talk. We plan to hold steering group meetings on a weekday evening somewhere in central London so everyone can easily reach there by public transport. To maximise attendance, dates will be chosen once we know who is interested. If you are keen for this event to take place, and have some time & energy to invest in making it happen, then….. contact us ASAP at
