London Transition Groups Gathering

Careen, Chris, Viv and I headed down to City Hall on 1st December for the London Transition Groups Gathering.  Short presentations on London Low Carbon Communities - which I think we should join - RE:NEW (which aims to make homes more energy efficient) and by a couple of keen council officers (Richmond and Merton).

We used the new downloadable Ingredients and Toolcards to tell the story of the formation of some of the groups - including OURS!  Chris suggested on twitter that it might work better as a sort of monopoly game - let's have a go with them soon and give Rob Hopkins some feedback.  Top trumps anyone?

Eagle-eyed Viv spotted Boris in the corridor outside the room - kitted out in his cycling kit with his helmet lights flashing.  We should have asked him in for a few questions.

It was a great evening, especially the chance to hear what other London groups are up to and to pick up a copy of the new Transition Handbook.  I got one for our shelf in the library
