A local apple and pear picking group are meeting to discuss arranging next year's harvest of local fruit trees. We want to set up a website, publish an information leaflet on local trees and foraging tips, prune trees and pick, eat, cook and distribute tons of local apples and pears. The trees are in people's gardens and the fruit would otherwise go to waste. The fruit is picked by local volunteers and once the tree's 'owner' and volunteers have taken the fruit they want the rest is given to local community groups and schools. Come along to the meeting to share ideas and plan for the new year!!
