RESTART, the electronics repair and skills share network is coming to Kilburn.
Powered by volunteers with a knack for fixing electronic devices and household appliances Restart reduces electronic waste and puts us back in control.
The first one on our patch on Saturday 18 October so if reducing waste is of interest to you please support and get involved.
Here's how:
Spread the word Share the news with your social media buddies and invite friends, colleagues and family to the maiden Restart event in our patch on Saturday 18 October.
Become a restarter: if you know how to fix electronic or electrical devices volunteerand join us Saturday 18 October.
Come along on the day with broken e-stuff and/or repair tools
Donation/ Loans Wish List Please get in touch as soon as possible if you can donate or lend any of the following:
A laptop, netbook or tablet plus 3G dongle (for when no Wifi is available)
"Spludgers" or guitar plectrums or old credit/debit/hotel cards
Screwdriver set for electronics
Conventional sized Philips and flat screwdrivers
Compressed air
Isopropyl Alcohol
Electrical insulation tape
Super glue
Masking tape for extenstion leads
Extension leads and multiplugs
Multimeter
Soldering kit (ask a Restarter to bring this)
Bootable and installable OS's on USB and CD (ask a Restarter to bring this)
Egg cartons or pill boxes for storing screws
Tweezers
Pliers
Knife, razor or cutting tool
First aid kit

i will collect up some more broken things before next saturday, some of which can be chucked but might be useful for experimenting on!
