Old Stories for New Times: inspiration for living sustainably was a project developed with older people who lived in the Kilburn, Queens Park and Willesden areas of London during the 1960s, 50s, 40s and 30s.
Participants were interviewed for their thoughts and memories on issues that continue to affect us now - consumerism, food production, neighbourliness, transport, make do and mend, thrift and safety.
These digital stories are a sampling of a larger exhibition that was held at The Library at Willesden Green in 2015 and 2016.
They now hold in their archives the full oral histories of the 15 participants.
