This logo carries echoes of Harry Beck's London Underground map, but formed into a more organic structure

This is my favourite - the hands/heart doesn't communicate anything to me about what it's all about - it's a nice design, but not relevant. The leaf is good too, but looks a bit like BEST logo (nothing wrong with that but could be confusing). The Tree is great at it has an urban feel to it (references to tube/subway/metro maps), the tree/branches gives a feeling of "groundedness" as well as growth and change, and the circles suggest links ie community. Brilliant design all round !!

How do you actually vote? I can't seem to find the link. Anyway, this is my favourite, says more about the project than the hands. Encompasses the city, connections and the project very well.

I like this one because we are in London, and the tube map is a great shorthand for that, and the station symbols could also be interpreted as fruits on the tree... however, I worry a little that the tube map thing has been done to death somewhat over recent years by all manner of adverts etc

Rozelle's comments on the symbolism are very persuasive - "This community isn't about love - it's about exchange and sharing" is a great comment, although not for me necessarily a killer blow to the hand/heart logo - remember, in "head, heart and hands", heart does not mean romantic love/Valentines Day as such.

I am torn between the tree and the hands now - both are excellent

At first I like the first one but think I prefer this - it is simple and less harsh than the others. The message of connections is key to transition town. Def has my vote.

(network of connections + practicality + urban + nature) = transition town
I think this solution best matches the brief because the symbol depicts a network. This project is about making connections - a realistic aim. This community isn't about love - it's about exchange and sharing. The reference to the tube map also shows the character of where we live - on the fringes of the city - urban. And the simplicity and punchiness of the form suggests practicality and directness. And the image is a tree - strength, longevity. It's also a symbol that could be developed - if you need sub group logos - seasonal logos. I don't think originality is important > 7 stories in the world...!

Like it, altho would have been more appropriate if it'd used the Jubilee colour as well
