Great little film Petica. Polly, Josie and I want to start a no plastic bag scheme in Salusbury Road shops. Shall we start a TT working party? - Molly

This is so important...and yet all these supermarkets - including M&S and Waitrose still provide plastic bags. The government could ban plastic bags and initiate cottonbags (with supermarkets logos on them to encourage themto do it) etc as from specific date... but how to get them to do so???

Regular plastic bag: inert.
Biodegradable plastic bag: emits CO2 as it degrades and costs more energy to create.

How much energy does it take to wash and clean a cloth bag versus making a new plastic bag?

If we're going to avert climate catastrophe let's make sure we're doing effective things!
