Going ahead despite the rain - bring waterproof footwear as it will be very wet and muddy! Pick and eat a fresh salad growing wild in Kilburn. We’ll do a short group walk to identify and talk about as many edible weeds, particularly leaves, as we can find - from dandelion to garlic mustard, cow parsley to ground elder.
We’ll end having an outside picnic with our tasty freshly picked salad.
Please don't publicise this event as it is always over-subscribed with Transition Town and Fruit Harvesters.
Where and when?
Meet at the gates of Paddington Old Cemetery, Willesden Lane, NW6 7SD (next to the Kilburn Arms pub and near Tesco) at 10.55 for an 11am prompt start. If you arrive later then head towards the bee hives by turning left inside the cemetery and keep going for five minutes till youhit a wall or see us.
It's a low area that can be muddy, so if it's a wet week bring footwear you don't mind getting dirty!
Weather check: the walk will go ahead unless it's raining solidly on the day. If in doubt, please check here and I'll announce if it's postponed by 10am
