Event Description

  • Got electronic or electrical items that need a repair? This is from a great project started by Transition Belsize that does that free:

In August we are kindly hosted by the Abbey Community Centre (http://abbeycc-kilburn.org.uk/) in Kilburn. Do you have problems with a small electronic or electrical device, and you want to learn how to repair it? Come along to get help repairing it, or join our community of repair volunteers helping participants to make the most of their existing gadgets.

Take back control of your e-stuff, never feel victim to obsolescence again. Slow laptops, broken printers, smartphones, coffee grinders, kettles, you name it. We help you learn how to fix all kinds of devices, starting with troubleshooting, advising on spare parts if necessary and more.

Please bring along snacks, food and drinks to share with others at the event - it is a party, after all!

Closest stations: Kilburn High Road Overground / Swiss Cottage Tube / South Hampstead train

Please arrive before 8pm if you would like help and remember: we're happy to help for you to learn how to repair. We are not repair professionals, and Restart Parties are a community self-repair space. Attending means that you take responsibility for your own gadget, your own data, so please do not forget to back-up your data.
