Community Leaders’ PROGRAMME Your chance to help tackle climate change Climate Squad is a project set up by environmental charity Global Action Plan to support young people with taking charge of their futures.
Our Community Leaders’ programme is aimed at 16-25 year olds who would like to find out how to lead a project to tackle climate change, whilst also picking up some great tips on communication, teamwork, leadership and project management – really useful skills that employers look out for in their potential employees.
The next training courses will be taking place in March 2010.
The first will be in central London Wednesday 24th -Thursday 25th March.
After attending either training course, you would then go on to run your very own carbon-cutting project in your local community, for which you would receive a UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) certificate. What’s more, you could work towards getting a BTEC WorkSkills qualification by taking part.
And the best part? Taking part is absolutely FREE, and we’ll be covering your expenses, from your travel to your refreshments during the training course.
More details about all aspects of the training and the programme are to follow upon your completion of the short application forms at the following links – spaces are limited and going fast, so apply now to book your place! (Deadline: 8 March 2010)
