Corrib Rest Community Pub (inactive group)

We hoped to reopen the Corrib Rest pub on Salusbury Road as a community pub with space to meet, cycle repairs, pop up dining and co-working space.  Join the group to keep posted on plans to find another space to create a community hub and how to help.

Michael,
Great news re The Corrib, I would like to discuss how I might help with the running of the pub. It would slso be a great pick up point for the field to fork fruit and veg bags. Perhaps we could even get involved in supplying (or even running) the kitchen?
Ian.

Sadly I'll be abroad that day, but generally speaking I'm around.

Thanks very much Colloboss, Will and Graham - your offers of help are just what we need!

There's a chance to look around the Corrib Rest from 7pm on Tuesday 18th October and I hope you can all come then. It's also a chance to meet (and join) the organising group and help us decide how best to run it as a community pub. Everyone is welcome - we want to hear what you would like to happen and how you can help.  Do you have a group that could use some space?  Do you have skills that would be useful - marketing, graphic design, technical knowledge, pub experience etc? Can you volunteer some time in the set up or regular running?  Come along and let us know.

I'd like to help. I can volunteer in the afternoons. I can do basic cycle maintenance and I also make furniture from pallets and am interested in up-ecycling in general. I'm also interested in opening a boardgames cafe.

I'll look into the "micro pub" concept. There's one in Kentish Town.

This is a great idea and a very exciting addition to the area.

I'm a designer I've worked on bars and workspaces I'm also studying adaptation and sustainability at CAT, I would love to help with this project if needed.
