Pick and eat a fresh salad growing wild in Kilburn. We’ll do a short group walk to identify and talk about as many wild edible leaves as we can find - from dandelion to bittercress, lesser celandine to garlic mustard. We’ll end in the neighbouring pub eating a freshly picked salad for Sunday tea. The walk is for beginners and foragers alike with an emphasis on sharing knowledge of plants rather than an expert leading. It's free, like the food!
Where and when?
Meet at the gates of so-called Paddington Cemetery, Willesden Lane, NW6 7SD (near the Prince of Wales pub and Tesco) at 1.55 for a 2pm prompt start. If you arrive later then head towards the bee hives by turning left inside the cemetery and keep going till you hit a wall or see us (not vice versa).
It's quite a low, muddy, area so if it's a wet week bring footwear you don't mind getting muddy!
Weather check: If it's more than spitting on the day please check here and I'll announce if it's postponed by noon.
