Hi Maggie,

I can be at the allotment between 1pm and 3pm next Sunday.

I was up there today, and was chatting with Ian, who suggested that we could do some of the cleaning up/rebuilding of the compost area next Sunday?

Best, Julienne

Hi Everyone,

The Open Gardens afternoon, when as many of us as possible need to be at the community allotment, is next Sunday, June 15th from 1 - 6.

Ian Kriss has kindly volunteered to cover the 1 -2 slot and Jenna has posted to say she is away for the weekend.

Could other people take a moment leave a post so that we all know the overall situation. As things stands, we still need volunteers to come up for an hour between 2 p.m. and 6 pm next Sunday.

Thanks, Maggie

PS Caroline - thanks for your post but Saturday is not the crucial day and 1 - 2 is the one slot that is already spoken for, so it would be great if you could offer and alternative time.  Cheers, Maggie

I can do 1-2 next Saturday. I am popping up for a bit towards the end of Sunday and can help with a tidy.

Maggie,

The wooden boxed were kindly given to us by Richard. I was not aware that I was the only VOLUNTEER to build compost boxes but will ask Richard to move the boxes back to the yard until I can organise this,

I can be at the allotment Sunday 15th 13.00 to 14.00

Regards,

Ian.

MESSAGE FOR IAN KRISS

Can you sort out the wood you brought up to the allotment before the Open Gardens and Studios event, Ian? If you don't have time to build the compost boxes you had in mind, can you at least tidy up the area. It's a bit of an eyesore at the moment. Thanks, Maggie

IMPORTANT MESSAGE - PLEASE READ AND HELP OUT IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN

The allotment is to be part of the Queen's Park Open Gardens and Studios event, which takes place on June 15th from 1.00 - 6.00. Can you let me know if you can undertake to be at the allotment for an hour (any hour) on the afternoon of Sunday June 15th?

13.00 - 14.00

14.00 - 15.00

15.00 - 16.00

16.00 - 17.00

17.00 - 18.00

The idea is to be there and chat to people who come around about the allotment, what you are growing and what it's like for you to be involved in a community allotment. When I know who can do which slot, I will co-ordinate and send some more information about the event.

I would appreciate it if everyone would reply (by posting here) by the end of this weekend so that I have time to get things organised.

Thanks at lot! Maggie

Hi Everyone,

I won't be able to come up to the plot this Sunday. It was nice to see all of you who came last Sunday and to see people who hadn't met before start to get to know one another. Maybe some of you will go up this Sunday as well?

Maggie

I all. I spent a couple of hours at that garden this morning. Looking quite dry and the water butt is drying up. I asked the green keepers if there were plans to help with watering and it is good news that there are. When the hanging baskets are watered the guts plan to water the plots. I sprinkled some slug pellets on the runner bean patch Maggie. Still looking great and rocket is poking through :)

Hi Maggie,

I am able to come to the allotment around 12 midday on Sunday - any news about building a garden seat from the pallets?

Hi Everyone,

At the last Garden Together session, someone asked if the sessions could be a little later on a Sunday, so the next session will be this coming Sunday, May 29th, between 11.00 and 1.00.

Those of us who were there last Sunday decided to ask everyone in the group to take a minute to respond on the comment wall when a Garden Together session is posted, saying whether or not they will be coming. Fiona has already done this but we don't know what's going on with anyone else.

All best, Maggie
