Event Description

QPARA Bird Walk 2010 (May 8th 2010)

Come with us and see what you can see!
Saturday morning May 8th at 9.30am.
Please meet outside the Cafe in Queen's Park.
The walk should last no more than 90 minutes (you can leave at any time)
The aim is to spot and identify as many species of birds as we can (watch out for wild flowers, butterflies and insects too !.)
Please bring binoculars and a pocket bird identification guide if you have them, but if not ,don't worry - we can share.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult known to them. Those under 8 might be bored so you need to judge if it is for them.

Nothing is guaranteed but birds we might hope to see include... Blackbird, Chaffinch, Collared Dove, Crow, Dunnock , Black-Headed Gull, Blue Tit, Robin, Great Tit, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Starling, Green Woodpecker, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Jackdaw, Magpie, Jay, Woodpigeon, House Sparrow, Starling, Swift, Feral Pigeon, Wren, Parakeet
We will progress up to the woodland walk and then along Chevening/Winchester/Willesden Lane to Paddington Old Cemetery, arriving there around 10am. So if you are late and want to find us it should be easy.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO COME
