Hi all,

Following on from a discussion at the food group meeting, I've looked on the Big Lunch website and there seems to be one on Charteris Road again though I can't see one for the Lexi Cinema. I've emailed the organiser of the Charteris Road event to check it is definitely on.
You can find events near you here: http://www.thebiglunch.com/map/index.php

Please send me any items for the agenda for the next food group meeting. We will follow on the from the last meeting with:

Food Growing Sites

River of Flowers

Land Share

Nettle Pesto Day

Seedling Swap

Permaculture Training

I am sure there are others...

I met someone at the William Saville/ Dunbar garden who is chair of the Residents Association at Granville New Homes. He is keen to have a vegetable growing area in their communal space.

Anyone interested in drying bay leaves? We have a large bay tree and plan to prune it in the next 2-4 weeks, which will generate loads of bay leaves that just need drying out to make them useful in cooking. E-mail

tlbstaverton@yahoo.co.uk or post here if you're interested.

Any cake makers out there? Or tea lovers who fancy coming down to or indeed helping with A Nice Cuppa Tea party in Peel Precinct this Saturday 26th 2-5pm. You can also check out the disused allotment while you're there. Arty stuff, pop up photo shoot, yummy cake, art exhibitions and more. contact info@kulaclub.com for more info.

We've Just passed the Spring equinox (if I'm not mistaken) and I'm feeling quite inspired myself. But in case the weather and longer days aren't enough, here's some inspiration for food growing in interesting places...

Just added Jen's minutes from the last Food Group Meeting to the blogs page.  Quite a few action points!  Next meeting is 5th April at 5-ways. It worked really well having a pot-luck 'bring and share' supper - we'll do that again at the next meeting.
